Patty Vogan (center), past president of the Monarch Beach Sunrise Rotary Club, and the rest of the MBSR gang, donned their chef’s caps (fashionable hairnets!!), put to use their collective cooking skills, and whipped up a delicious Thanksgiving dinner for The Dana Point Senior Center.

Dr. Stan Cummings returned for an evening at the Ocean Institute, to share his experience in starting this wonderful organization.

Patty Vogan is recognized as an individual who reflect Rotary’s motto of “Service Above Self” during a special meeting “Paul Harris Fellow Recognition Program”.

Each year, the Monarch Beach Sunrise Rotary Club (MBSR), recognizes those individuals who reflect Rotary’s motto of “Service Above Self” during a special meeting “Paul Harris Fellow Recognition Program”. Donors of $1,000.00 or more to the Rotary Foundation’s Annual Programs Fund, PolioPlus or the Humanitarian Grants Program, or people, who have that amount contributed in their name, will be recognized as Paul Harris Fellows.

This year’s Monarch Beach Sunrise Rotary Club’s “Paul Harris Fellow Recognition Program” was held Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at the Ritz-Carlton.   Club and Rotary district dignitaries honored 36 deserving individuals, both members and friends of the Club, with a commemorative Paul Harris Fellow certificate and a pin, or a new pin reflecting continued contributions.
